You can disable the safety without removing the entire mechanism. Please don’t disable SW Shield Plus the safety by removing an internal part of it and reinstalling the lever, as the above video mentions.
The pistol includes manual thumb safety. Unlike other striker-fired guns, the Shield 2.0 allows for disassembly without pulling the trigger, an essential safety feature that adds a measure of safety to the takedown method.
